THE LAUNCH
JURA II was launched from the Hall Russell & Co. shipyard in Aberdeen in 1963. Fortunately, the spectacle was well documented and adds a nostalgic shimmer to her story.

REFITS
It takes time to get to know your yacht and fine-tune it to your personal preferences. JURA II has undergone numerous refits, totalling over €9 million in the past decade. The latest major refit was carried out in 2021/2022. The scope was to upgrade various aspects of the yacht to enhance its functionality, performance and exterior aesthetics. This involved a complete disassembly of the two original diesel engines, ultrasonic testing, installation of new electronic systems and intricate woodwork to mention a few tasks.
Chief engineer Ali manages the continuous improvements and maintenance work in the shipyard in Turkey, making sure that JURA II is kept in impeccable condition. In 2024 she will be up for her 10-year RINA classification - the highest safety and quality standard there is for superyachts.
